Drum roll please……. the Italians have romped it in – it’s THE YELLOW hostel in Rome!

The Yellow won by almost 1,000 votes to its nearest rivals, St. Christopher’s (Barcelona)… roughly 8,000 votes to 7,000, with Clink 78 in third position.

Over 50,000 unique votes were registered in what was a hotly contested and tracked campaign from day one. The properties that were selected and agreed to take part in the unique HostelBookers promotion also included PLUS Florence, One80 Berlin, Generator Dublin, The Dictionary London, ‘fusion prague’, U Hostels Madrid.

The Yellow now win £5,000 from HostelBookers to put on the crazy party they concocted – an ‘Ancient Roman Carnival’. Sounds debaucherous already! The party is confirmed to be on Friday 23rd August and is strictly by invite to industry players, hostel friends and whoever is staying at the hostel on that date. Quick…. BOOK now!

The Yellow have extended their invitation for free accommodation to two staff members of each of the participating properties… what champions! A few HostelBookers staff will also be flying over to enjoy the Carnival atmosphere in what is set to be one of the hottest hostel parties of the season.

One lucky voter who cast their vote for The Yellow, has also bagged flights, accommodation and spending money (valued at £2,500 for four people) to attend the party and enjoy a Roman holiday… so congrats also go to Andrew Bezzina, who has been contacted of his win!
