The floating hostel is docked next to the Royal Palace in Stockholm’s Old Town (Gamla Stan) and offers extremely central Stockholm accommodation at budget prices. A stay at Anedin Hostel will give you the chance to stay in a culturally preserved ship, steeped in history with a very charming atmosphere. You may even spot the royal family while lounging on the decks!

The ship operated as a crusie service for more than 60 years, but has sailed its last voyage and will now remain as a floating hostel, catering to the youth and budget savvy accommodation markets. The owners have managed to preserve the original wooden interiors and the ship has even been awarded the Swedish ‘K mark’, listing it as culturally important in 2010.

There are 156 private rooms / cabins with either shared or private bathroom facilities, all featuring traditional maritime design. Stockholm’s newest hostel is certainly one of it’s biggest and definetly its most unique! A welcome permenant addition to Stockholm’s skyline, sure to be a huge hit with tourists seeking a great value stay in a Nordic capital gem.
